Dr Nicola Maddren MA(Applied), MBChB, BSc, FRACGP

General Practitioner

Bio

Dr Nicola Maddren completed her medical training at the University of Otago in New Zealand and has over 25 years of combined experience in Emergency Medicine and General Practice. As Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners she has spent the past decade focusing on General Practice.

Nick enjoys all aspects of family medicine, with interests in acute care and injury management, working with children,  musculoskeletal and chronic disease. She has a particular interest in preventative health —especially for those who rarely see a doctor. Her approach is centred around the belief that everyone needs a “well doctor”—a trusted clinician who helps you take charge of your health before problems arise.

Outside of general practice, Nick works as a surgical assistant across a range of specialties including orthopaedics, plastic surgery, breast and reconstructive surgery, colorectal and gynaecology.

Nick is a proud mum of four, and when not at work enjoys supporting her kids at their sports events, trail running, kayaking, skiing, gardening and spending quality time at the beach or outdoors with her family.
