Appointments for each patient are scheduled 10-15
minutes apart. Every effort will be made to accommodate your preferred time. Emergencies
will be given priority. Extended appointment times are available upon request. Please inform
reception if your appointment pertains to minor surgery, medicals, work cover, pap
screening, or test results, or if you need extended
appointment.
We try to run our daily appointment schedule on
time, but often there are urgent and complex cases which cause delays. Please check with
reception if we appear to be running late. In an endeavor to provide the best medical care
for all patients, we ask you to be understanding and co-operative in these
instances.
We often have patients waiting for appointments, and
so it is important to advise us as soon as possible if you are unable to keep your
appointment time. Failure to cancel a doctor’s appointment may incur a fee.
Doctors practicing at 188 MEDICAL are privately billing for their services, which means that there will be out of pocket expense for you. You will need to pay your fees on the day you attend your appointment. Fees vary between doctors, please contact reception team for further details.
It is Australian legislation that prescriptions or referrals are only
given after a consultation by appointment. They are professional services and required
appropriate consideration. A medical certificate of any kind is a legal document and reflects
the professional opinion of the doctor. Our doctors issue Sickness and Work Cover certificates
where required and these will generally require a consultation by appointment.
